Afghanistan appoints Argentina coach

Afghanistan has appointed Argentina’s Juan Marpcos Troia as their head coach for SAFF championship.

Afghanistan FA says that Juan Marpcos’s appointment is temporary to replace the regular coach Yousuf Karger.

Karger is suspended for five matches by AFC for his over reaction against referee’s decision in the last group game of AFC challenge cup qualification against Laos. He was also fine with $5000 by AFC.

Juan Marpcos was the coach for Afghanistan beach soccer team who played in the world cup qualification in Qatar.

Afghanistan had announced 17 member squad consisting of ten foreign based players for friendly against Pakistan scheduled for next week.

Afghanistan will camp in Dubai after Pakistan friendly.
