Maldives playing against Sri Lanka, Sri Lankan won a friendly match against Thai team by 2-0

Bangkok, THAILAND - Sri Lanka beat Thailand division 2 champions, Customs United FC by two goals to nil in the friendly match played yesterday in Bangkok.

Goals for Sri Lanka were scored by Vice Captain Chatura Gunaratna followed by Mohamed Sameer to seal the win by 2-0. Both goals came in the second half of the game.

Sri Lankan team who are preparing for the SAFF championship will play friendlies against Thailand Army and Under-21 team before heading to Nepal.

The Brazilian Coaches Roberto Silveira and Junior was happy with the outcome of the match and said that the team is now performing with much better understanding and team work and he is confident that they will be better in the coming matches to face the SAFF Challenges.


Sri Lanka, Maldives, Afghanistan and Bhutan lies in Group B.
