Male’, MALDIVES – VB Addu FC has relegated to second division when they were beaten by Victory Sports Club by 3-2 in tonight’s Dhivehi League Qualifier.
VB Addu FC who was known as VB Sports Club in 2007 needs a point to secure a place in the top flight but Victory must win the match to be in the first division.
VB Addu FC created their first chance in the first minute when Shafraz cleared Shamveel’s header from the goal line.
Four minutes later, Victory’s Sri Lankan striker Channa scored a wonder goal from the corner kick and took the lead for them.
VB Addu FC’s Imran leveled the game from a superb header from a cross mady by Awilo.
Three minutes before the half time Shafraz made a good shot on target but went straight to the keeper’s gloves.
Six minutes after the break Shimaz made a good shot on target but keeper saved it.
Five minutes later Shimaz made another good shot but hits the cross bar.
Victory took the lead for the second time in the 68th minute, Shafraz’s left foot shot just out side the box hits the roof of the net.
Six minutes later, Abdulla Haneef’s header inside the box went straight to the goal and leveled the game for the second time.
Two minutes before the normal time Kaka scored the winner and confirmed a place for Victory in the top flight.
