Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA – PDRM FA’s head coach, Dollah Salleh has said that Maldives national team captain Ali Ashfaq will bring an earthquake to Malaysian football.

In an exclusive interview given to maldivesoccer.com Dollah Salleh said that he is a very good player but he will do much better in the future.

“At the moment he is not playing at his best and he is giving maybe 60%. But I know he will do his magic soon and I hope it will be against Pahang this Tuesday.”

“I am happy to have a player like Ashfaq, I saw his skills from youtube and I know he will bring an earthquake to Malaysian football one day. He has that quality. Malaysian football lovers would love to see his magic.”

Dollah also said a player who has scored 58 goals in one season will bring a difference here.

“I believe that a player who has scored that much goals will have the quality to score that much in Malaysia. And still he is the best to me and I know he will show something here in Malaysia.”

“I have been always telling the reporters that he will bring something for the Malaysian football. He is a very important player for me. That’s the reason why I am using another ground for training.”

When asked about the Haveeru footballer of the year award Dollah Salleh said that he has full confidence that he will win it.

“Of course, he will win it Insha Allah. He has that quality.”

Meanwhile Ashfaq (Dhagandey) said that he is trying to play his best but it will take some time to adjust to play with new players.

“I am trying my level best to perform at the best but it will take sometime to adjust to play with new players.”

Ashfaq who scored 44 goals for New Radiant and another 14 for Maldives national team last year knows it is not easy to repeat that feat.

“I know scoring 58 goals in a season is difficult but with the help of my team mates last year I manage to achieve that and I am trying to score as many goals as possible here in Malaysian Premier League.”
