FAM's executive committee has decided not to renew the agreement with Maattey

Male’, MALDIVES – Football Association of Maldives (FAM)’s newly elected executive committee has decided not to renew the agreement with the current Technical Director of FAM, Mauroof Ahmed (Maattey).

Speaking to maldivesoccer.com FAM’s Vice President Abdul Muhusin (J4) said that the executive committee has decided not to renew the agreement with Maattey.

“The exco has decided not to renew the agreement with Maattey but we are trying to find an alternative for that post.”

Recently the new management has appointed former Victory coach Ali Suzain as the head of national teams and Ahmed Mujuthaba (Fesco) as head of atoll tournaments. Former referee Izhan, brother of current president Ilham, has been appointed as the head of referees department.

Ilham appointing his brother to the post of Referees' Director will be viewed by many as alarming. Rumours are flying that previous technical director Lim is being recruited.

Its a joke that a former unsuitable referee and brother has been appointed as referees committee head. He is someone who failed terribly as a referee and now head. I give you my word, the way things are going now, this FA will crash soon. Mark my words.
