Maldives started strong and continued to pressure the defense line of Nepal.

Happy we won but from how the game went I feel uneasy about the coming matches. Hope we will win or at least draw against Indians. New players seem to be integrating into the team. Good work rate but we seem to be exhausted towards the end. Ashfaq can do better than that. He seem to be concentrating too much on scoring rather than evading the defenders and making a clear shot.

We badly missed an attacking midfielder of Bonda’s calibre who could supply well-timed balls to strikers. Especially Dhagey, he suffered big time with the lack of good service. In the few good runs he made the ball was not supplied well or supplied late when he was offside. If coach makes appropriate changes from the lessons he had learned from this match we can give a good fight against India. Though revenge is not something we could talk against mighty India 1-3 loss against them in SAFF 2011 is greatly exaggerated due to injuries to important players like Baka. At least we need to go for that the respectable score we deserve. Like may be a draw!

this is okey compared to all new young players in the team. the score is okey for me but looking at the game start to finish we lack buildup play, too many useless/careless mistakes and lack support from midfield. i agree with Baiypen we missed someone like bonda. baka had to do all the work and he looked all tired by the end of first 45mins. there was so much space in midfield. im not sure if he can do the same agaisnt the likes of india, syria and cameroon. our defense is mentally WEAK! loose concentration so easily making simple childish mistakes. however given the fact so many new young players i am hoping they would do their best. good luck Maldives. & good luck for nepal too. i admire nepal fan support.
