Male’, MALDIVES – Kyrgyzstan’s head coach Dvoryankov Sergey said that the match referee didn’t allow them to play against Maldives.

Speaking at the post match press conference Sergey said that it was not an equal game and they dominated the game.

“I don’t think it was an equal game. We have been dominating through out the game before we concede the goal and even after the sending off we were the better team.”

“Referee didn’t allow us to play our own game and he didn’t do his job properly. There is a spirit of the game and also rules of the game. But he turns it all and I think the referee didn’t know the spirit of the game.”

When asked about the awesome crowd in the stadium he said that they didn’t affect from that.

“We weren’t affected by the crowd and we were controlling the game and playing the game. I think that Maldives have very good supporters.”

Maldivesoccer.com asked about the sending off their defender in the second half he replied that the turning point of the game was not the red card.

“No I don’t think that the turning point of the game was the sending off. We got many clear-cut chances unfortunately we couldn’t score. The same thing happened against Palestine. In football if you didn’t score from the chances you got you can’t win the game.”

They didn't get clear-cut chances. All of them were half-chances at best. This Russian is delusional, I lost count of the number of times the referee gave 50-50 challenges in favour of Kyrgyzstan. How many times did Imran have to make a save tonight? With this sort of guy at the helm, Kyrgyzstan are never going to progress. I was really happy with the spirit shown by our players today, and it was a very welcome difference after the catastrophe against Myanmar. Just look at the difference Shafiu and Arif made, I hope coach Mamic has learned his lesson. I still want us to hold up the ball more in midfield. I feel that, especially during the first half, we were too hasty in lofting the ball up front. We created our best chances whenever we sprayed the ball in the middle of the park with patient buildups. Anyway, hope to pick up 3 points against Palestine. It's going to be another tough challenge. And kudos to the performances of Niyaz and Amdhaan, both of them were absolutely superb tonight.
