The last U-19 qualifiers were a disaster. Even Bangladesh beat us 3-0, and the scoreline got worse with each result. I like the coaching staff, but I don't know what they mean by "We prepared well." Did they play practice matches against other teams? How long have they been holding practice sessions? And on what basis were the players selected? So many questions we don't know the answer to, but don't worry, "we prepared well". It's what they always say before going off to every youth qualifier. So far, all that preparation has yielded in us losing every single match of every single youth qualifier. At least, I hope the coaching staff encourage the players to come out a bit and actually attempt to play football, instead of the usual 11 men parked inside our penalty area tactic we see employed at youth level. We need to coach our young players to be a bit more adventurous, even if we are playing against these "powerhouses". The worst thing that could happen is for us to play ultra-defensive and lose 10-0.
