Nepal football team players: ANFA offers valuable bonuses to team

Kathamandu, NEPAL – All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has offered lifetime monthly cash bonus and apartments for Nepal national team players if they can claim the title of SAFF Championship 2013.

Speaking in the press conference, ANFA General Secretary Mr.Dhiren Pradhan revealed that every player of the team will be granted with an apartment and a life time monthly cash bonus of Rs 10,000.00 per month.

SAFF Championship has been an abstract dream for Nepal. Nepal national football team has never made it to the final of the SAFF Championship. This is the second time the regional tournament is host by the football crazy nation. Sixteen years before, the first SAFF Championship was held in Kathmandu in 1997 but they were dropped out from Group stage after loosing all the games in group stage.

The best result Nepal has so far achieved in the event was during the 1999 and 201. On both the occasions, Nepal had made it to the semifinals of the tournament.

Recently media reported that a religious event was held at Stadium wishing for the success of the Nepali football team in the tournament. A sheep, goat, duck, hen and an egg were sacrificed during the event where ANFA President Ganesh Thapa and Vice-president Mahesh Bista were attended.

The host Nation has been fully geared to the regional tournament and located a USD 400,000.00 budget to make the tournament more monumental.
