Players evacuated after earthquake

Maldives players were evacuated from the hotel following earthquake tremors.

Kathmandu, NEPAL – Maldives national team was evacuated from the hotel following earthquake tremors.

Director of national teams and acting manager Ali Suzain has said to maldivesoccer.com that the players and the officials are outside the hotel to ensure that there is no follow up tremors.

“We are outside the hotel as per the officials from the hotel ask us to do. We are waiting for their final confirmation.”

A 4.9 magnitude earthquake has been reported 81 km NE Kathmandu.

00:45: Players and officials went back to the hotel and everything is safe.

00:48 India, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan are staying in The Everest Hotel and they all were evacuated at that time but now everything is fine.
