Kathmandu, NEPAL - Bangladesh coach Lodjewik De Kruif believes that the main reason for their loss in the opening game of the SAFF championship was the poor defending of their side.

“It's always difficult to analyze such a game soon after the final whistle. You saw how we conceded, especially the second goal. It was a defensive error”

The Dutchman also believed that the pressure from Nepali fans put them under pressure.

“Yes there was a lot of pressure, we gave it in the first 30 minutes. With such a backing you can’t over turn such a deficit”

Though they lost in the opening game still they have high hopes for advancing the next round.

“We play to win and we are very motivated. I think it was a bad day for us, more like 30 bad minutes for us. Tomorrow we will talk about this and we will go on from there. We will forget this tie and focus on the next one”

Lodjewik told the media that if his side was at its best, they could have beaten Nepal.

“For them it’s a very good result. But when we are in good shape, we can play a better game and at that time I think they can’t beat us”
