Male’, MALDIVES – All Youth Linkage (AYL)’s Coach Ahmed Athif (Aathee) says that, he don’t hope his side to qualify for the final round of Dhiraagu Dhivehi League, after they were beaten by 2 – 1 in tonight’s match. AYL still have a chance to qualify for the third round, but have to wait for the result of the last game of the round between Eagles and Vyansa.

The top six teams from the first two rounds will qualify for the second round while, the bottom two teams have to play Dhivehi League Qualification with champions and runners up of second division. Club Valencia has already been relegated to play the qualification while either AYL or Vyansa will be relegated.

If Vyansa wins the match against Eagles, Vyansa will play the third round, if not AYL will play the third round.

“As a coach, I would say that I don’t hope to be on top six, as we failed to qualify on our own”.

Aathee said that since Vyansa has chance to qualify, their commitment would be higher.

“Vyansa still has the chance to qualify on their own. So there’s nothing we can do other than just watch the game. That’s the reason I am not hoping for qualification”.

Speaking about the win against AYL, NRSC’s Coach Mohamed Siyaz (Mohan) said that even though they won the game, it was a tough game.

“It was a difficult match”.

“Since four of our key players including injured two foreigners and Adam, I’d say it was really a difficult match, but I am glad that we won”.

“AYL had performed superb against us. They have very talented players”.

“Especially their Brazilian striker was outstanding”.

the so called 'outstanding' brazilian striker over-estimated himself with that penalty there, though. but yeah, pretty difficult match for nrsc. the future is bright though :D
