Male’, MALDIVES – Maziya Sports and Recreation club has said that they are not happy with the selection of Haveeru Daily’s top 5 players in the ongoing Dhiraagu Dhivehi League second round.
In an interview given to maldivesoccer.com Maiya’s General Secretary Abdul Wahhab said that it was not fair when a player who has scored four goals was not in the top 5.
“I am quite surprise that a player who was in the top five in the first round and has played seven matches and scored four goals in the second round was not in the top 5.”
He also said that those players who performed well and was not included in the top five, they would up set of this and it will affect their performance in the upcoming matches.
Maziya’s Ahmed Rasheed scored 11 goals in this season and was in the top five of the Haveeru Daily best player award in the Dhiraagu Dhivehi League first round. He has played seven games in the second round and scored four goals from those matches.
Maziya is on the second position of Dhiraagu Dhivehi League.
