Blues appoint Alagic as head coach

Male', MALDIVES - Maldives league and president's cup champions New Radiant Sports Club has appointed Bosnian coach Amir Alagic today. Alagic has more than 10 years of experience in coaching in Asian including in countries like Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, India and Brunei.

He led Brunei's DPMM FC to their cup champions before taking the head coach role of Brunei's national team. He also managed Bosnia U19 national team before gaining more coaching experience in Germany with Bundesliga side Werder Bremen in 2007.

New Radiant has appointed a new coach to replace former coach Mika, who was sacked earlier this month after a series of poor results that has extended to four official games without a win.

According to New Radiant, Alagic will take over club trainings from Friday in their preparations to their third AFC Cup game on next week against Myanmar side Ayeyewady United.
