Maziya 3-0 Eagles: Maziya ease pass Eagles

Male', MALDIVES - Maziya Sports and Recreation beat Club Eagles by 3-0 in Sunday nights match of Dhiraagu Dhivehi league to tighten their grip on second place.

Defender Samdhooh scored to give the lead to Maziya in the 31st minute. Samdhooh's low shot from a free kick from outside the box went straight in to the bottom corner.

In the 46th minute Asadhulla dribbles inside the box, but his shot was blocked by Eagles goalkeeper Sinan.

In the 62 minute Maziyas Nashid delivered a decent cross in to the box which was well received by Bulgarian midfielder Boriov, but Eagles defender Amdhaan cleared the ball.

Nashid doubled the score for Maziya in the 77th minute. Ahmed Mohamed cross from a free kick was nicely headed into goal by Nashid.

Maziya's 3rd goal was scored by Bulgarian forward Aleksandrov in the 88th minute. Aleksandrov slotted in a nice ball by substitute Shifaz.

Maziya stay in second place with 28 points, with a 10 point lead over 3rd place Valencia.

Maziys coach Ismail Mahefooz said that he was happy with the win.

"It was difficult as Eagles played with 10 players in their half. Even with their defensive approach we manage to score 3 goals so i am happy. But we cant effort to loose so much chances. We have to improve our finishing," Mahefooz said.

Ealges assistant coach Nimadh said that the loss was not hard to take.

"We know maziya is a very strong team so loosing against them is not a big disappointment," Nimaadh said.
