BG Sports 0-1 AYL: Top four hope for AYL

Male', MALDIVES - All Youth Linkage (AYL) beat BG Sports club in Friday nights match of the Dhiraagu Dhivehi league to renew their hope for a place in the top four.

In the 9th minute Muaz got the ball inside BG penalty area, but no player was at the end of his cross across goal.

In the 22nd minute AYL's Sierra Leone forward Abu's shot was saved by BG's goalkeeper Ifrah.

BG's vetran striker Fazeel's shot in the 24th went inches wide off the goal post.

AYL broke the dead lock in the 48th minute when Ifaaz slotted in the ball to the back of the net from close range.

AYL's Solah missed a golden oppurtunity to extend the lead in the 61st minute. Solah got the ball near the penalty area from Kudus's mistake, however his shot from the box went wide.

AYL's assistant coach Nashid said after the game that he side gave a very good performance to collect the 3 points.

"I must say so far they have played well in every match. Likewise tonight also i saw an exceptional performance from the boys. I am very pleased with the performance," Nashid said.

Nashid that AYL could produce even better results if the management provide the neccesary support to the team.

BG's Assitant Coach Ismail Anil said that it was not a sufficent display from his side.

"even if we have won 1-0 i could say we played well. It was just not our night. It was AYL's night. Even luck was on their side. We will try to improve for the next game," Anil said.
