Maziya 3-0 Eagles: Easy win for Maziya

Male’, MALDIVES – Maziya Sports and Recreation Club has won the match against Club Eagles by 3-0 last night in the ongoing Dhiraagu Dhivehi League.

Maziya, who has strengthened the team during the transfer period, started the match very well. They created their first attempt in the 21st minute, Ahmed Rasheed made a good inside the box but went straight to the keepers gloves.

A minute later, Zhivko Todorov broke the deadlock from a wonderful bicycle kick. Keeper Sinan tried to clear the ball before the ball crosses the line but he failed to do so.

In the 41st minute, Ahmed Nashid made a good shot inside the box but went inches over the bar.

Two minutes after the break, Eagles missed a good chance to score. Misunderstanding between keeper and defender cost the opportunity for them. But keeper punched out Furugan's shot and Arif cleared the ball from the box.

Mohamed Thasmeen scored a goal for Eagles in the 49th minute but when he got the ball the flag was up against him.

Maziya’s Ahmed Rasheed doubled the lead in the 57th minute from a superb volley.

In the last minute of the game, Eagles’ Hamdhaan scored an own goal. Hamdhaan touched the cross to the goalkeeper while keeper moved to off position. Ball slowly went into goal.

Club Valencia will play against AYL in tonight’s match.
