Male’, MALDIVES – Victory Sports Club’s general secretary Ismail Zariyandh has said that they are having salary issues with some players and they are trying to settle that before the FA Cup match.
Speaking to Maldivesoccer.com today, Zariyandh said that salary issues are not only with Victory and some other clubs are having the same issues.
“We are having some financial issues with players but we will fix it before the FA Cup match.”
Meanwhile, in a post on Victory’s facebook fan page it says that there are some players who are not being paid for three or four months but they performed very well in the Dhivehi League Qualifier to keep them in the top flight.
“The players did their best and kept the club in Division 1 and still the management is treating the players like s***. It seems now the players have told the management that they will not play the next match until they are being paid"
Regarding the matter, Zariyandh said that the club didn’t get any comment about it and the facebook page is not related to the club.
“The facebook page is not related to us and it was under the control of some supporters.”
Victory won the Dhivehi League Qualifier against VB Addu FC by 3-2 to secure a place in the top flight.
