New Radiant 10-0 AYL: A goal fiesta

Male’, MALDIVES – New Radiant’s ace striker Ali Ashfaq has scored five goals against All Youth Linkage (AYL) to beat them by 10-0 in the ongoing Dhiraagu Dhivehi League. New Radiant crowned as the champions when they play this game when BG Sports beat Maziya by 3-2 last night.

Defending champions and newly crowned champions of Dhiraagu Dhivehi League, New Radiant Sports Club started the game in a good shape.

New Radiant opened the scoring in the first minute of the game when Mohamed Yamin scored an own goal.

Seven minutes later Mohamed Shifan doubled the lead from a mis kicked effort inside the box from a corner kick taken by ace striker, Ali Ashfaq.

Ali Ashfaq scored his first goal of the night from a wonderful header inside the box.

New Radiant’s fourth goal was scored by recently joined Ismail Easa in the 25th minute. Ashfaq sent a nice ball to him and he slightly headed the ball while the keeper moved for the ball.

In the 34th minute, Umair's shot inside the box went inches over the bar from a superb ball by Rilwan Waheed.

In the 41st minute, Mohamed Umair shot at once to the top corner of the goal from Shifan's cross from the right flank to make the score to 5-0.

Three minutes after the break Ashfaq’s thunderbolt shot inside the box hits the far bottom corner of the goal, all credit goes to Akram for the fantastic ball.

In the 56th minute, Ali Ashfaq scored his hat trick from a stunning free kick.

Hussain Niyaz made a good shot inside the box in the 73rd minute but it went straight to the keeper’s gloves.

Six minutes before the normal time Ashfaq scored his fourth goal of the match. His shot inside the box hits the net giving no chance for the keeper to save the ball.

Ashfaq scored his fifth goal after a superb solo effort, his shot inside the box after beating four players hits the far bottom corner of the goal. This was his 37th goal of the season and he needs three more goals to break his record of 39 goals in one season.

In the last minute of the normal time, Ahmed Niyaz beat four players inside the box and passed it to Ali Fasir who was right in front of the goal and he scored from it.
