Nazeeh criticized the referees after the game against Eagles.

Male’, MALDIVES – VB Addu FC Head Coach Mohamed Nazeeh have hit back at referees after being held by Club Eagles in the ongoing Dhiraagu Dhivehi League yesterday by 1-1. A late goal from Hansley AV Awilo gave lead to the three times champions VB Addu FC but Mohamed Thasneem equalized for Eagles in todays game.

Speaking after the match, Nazeeh said that it was a match, which they could have won if the referees were neutral. But he said that he accepts human error from the referees.

“I am not criticizing the officials, but if they were a little neutral than favoring we could have won the game”.

“I accept human errors from them but I guess it should be decreased a bit”.

Nazeeh noted that his team also faced difficulties from the hot weather today, as it was more humid recently.

“It was a bit humid lately and everyone was used to the wet weather but today it was as hot as 32 degree Celsius which also effected the performance”.

“But I would say it wasn’t bad at all in general”.

With todays point, VB Addu FC now is still on the sixth position with nine points from eight games. Nazeeh said that his target is to earn at least 12 points at the end of the second round.

“I want to earn at least 12 points by the end of second round”.

“To achieve that target we also have to beat a big team in this round”.

Meanwhile, Ihsan Abdul Gani (Saanthi) who was reappointed as the Head Coach of Eagles was not satisfied with the performance of his side especially when his side has to share a point with the opponent.

“I am not satisfied with either the performance or the result as we faced the game only to get three points”.

“All my boys did their best. But if we could have won the game, we could have been in a better place (in the point table)”

Ihsan Abdul Gani (Saanthi) also said the main issue in the team is the consistency as his boys’ are too young and inexperienced.

“We still need time to settle the team”.

“Unlike other teams, we neither have star players who could make headlines nor foreigners”.

“And of cause, consistency is the main issue with us “.

Nazeeh.. If you win you think you’re the best. But if you lose weather or referee. Nazeeh your team and you don’t have courage to get 12 points. Don’t think that you know everything in football. You are acting your brother.
