Maziya 5-2 VB Addu FC: VB drawn to danger!

Male', MALDIVES – VB Addu FC had drawn their position in to danger after they face fourth consecutive loss in the second round of Dhiraagu Dhivehi League 2013. Maziya beats VB 5 – 2 in the match played tonight.

Awilo open the score line for VB but Maziya came behind to take the lead with the strikes from Easa and Assadhulla. But before end of the first half Awilo leveled the game for VB. And gave some hope.

With the two goals scored by Assadhulla and one by Ahmed Rasheed in the second half Maziya secured all the three points from the game.

In the 12th minute of the game, Assadhulla missed an open chance for Maziya, Adhuham delivered a good through pass to Assadhulla but Assadhulla’s shot went over the crossbar.

In the 26th minute, Hansley beats two defenders and pasted his shot from close in to the bottom corner of the goal to hand the lead for VB Addu FC.

Just two minutes later, Easa leveled the game for Maziya, Easa got a loose ball from close range and did not make any mistake to past the ball in to the goal.

Next minute Assadhulla missed another golden chance for Maziya, Ahmed Rasheed found unmarked Assadhulla in front of the goal, but his shot went direct in to keeper's hand.

In the 36th minute, Assadhulla gifted the lead for Maziya. Ahmed Rasheed made a slight touch on Easa's lower cross and Assadhulla slides to past the ball from near the goal line with no pressure on him.

Four minutes remaining in the first half, Awilo scored a stunning goal and leveled the game. His shot from outside the penalty area drilled in to the far corner of the goal.

Twenty minutes in to the second half, Ahmed Rasheed Regains the lead for Maziya. Rasheed’s close range header from Assadhullah's cross hit the crossbar and deflected in to the goal.

Ten minutes later Assadhulla made it 4 - 2, with his close range shot from Ahmed Mohamed's lower cross.

Six minutes remaining in the clock, Assadhulla completed his hat trick. Assadhulla made an easy shot from near the goal line after Ziyazan punched Ahmed Rasheed's shot from inside the penalty area.

With this win Maziya cut the point deficit to 12 points with the top placed New Radiant SC and left VB in bottom of the league table with 9 points from 11 games.

In the next game of Dhiraagu Dhivehi League 2013, Club Valencia will play against Victory SC tomorrow evening at 16:00pm.
