VB Addu FC 0-2 AYL: AYL shocks VB

Male’, MALDIVES – All Youth Linkage (AYL) has shocked three times champions VB Addu FC in today’s Dhiraagu Dhivehi League by beating them 2-0. Hassan Solah’s first half free kick and substitute player, Bahajath Abdul Azeez solo goal helped them to secure three points.

AYL started the match with high pace and they created their first chance in the 5th minute. VB Addu FC’s keeper Faseeh has to stop the stunning shot by AYL Skipper Abdulla Zubair just outside the box.

Fifteen minutes later Githurees missed a good chance to break the deadlock, Abu gave a good through pass to him but his shot was well blocked by keeper.

In the 23rd minute Hassan Solah’s free kick just outside the box curved into the roof of the net to make it 1 - 0 for AYL.

Seven minutes after the break Hansley Awilo made a good header inside the box but hits the cross bar.

In the 73rd minute Bahajath Abdul Azeez doubled the lead from a good solo effort. He penetrated the defense line and even beat the keeper to convert it to the goal.

Two minutes before the normal time Abu supplied a good ball to Insaadhu but his shot was blocked by Jameel and Bahajath made another shot from the rebounded ball but went wide.

In the last minute of normal time Awilo penetrated the defense line and made a good shot inside the box but hits the post.

New Radiant Sports Club will play against Club Eagles on Monday.
