Under 14 team to train in Japan

Male', MALDIVES - Maldives U-14, including other seven SAARC countries are participating in a Japanese U-14 Football exchange program organized by Japan Football Association (JFA) in association with Japanese Foreign Ministry.

The exchange program named “SAARC under 14 Football Exchange Program” is scheduled to take place from 7-20 October 2012.

According to media reports, the main purpose of the program is to promote mutual friendship and understanding along with football skills among the young students of SAARC region. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan provides funds for the program.

Three youth players and a local coach are also currently at Japan for a training program.
