New Radiant 0 - 0 VB Addu FC: Goalless draw

Male', MALDIVES - New Radiant SC and VB Addu FC has ended in a goalless draw in the match played in Dhiraagu Dhivehi League 2012 tonight. New Radiant dominated the game and created number of chances in the match, but failed to convert any.

In the 7th minute of the game Ashfaq got the first clear chance of the game. Ashfaq shot was first saved by goalkeeper Ziyazan and when Ashfaq shoot the rebounded it hit the post.

Nafiu got a good chance to put VB up front in the 13th minute, his free shot went direct in to goalkeeper Imran's hand.

Thariq (Tom) found Ali Umaru with his tricky through pass in the 23rd minute, but Ali Umaru shot from inside the penalty area was saved by Ziyazan.

Ashfaq beat his marker and tried with a left foot shot inside the penalty area in the 45th minute, but Ziyazan dived and caught the ball.

New Radiant went close to take the lead in the 65th minute, Mohamed Hussain (Oittey) well headed Kudus' cross but it hit the crossbar.

Two minutes later Nafiu missed another chance for VB, Nashid slide a through pass to Nafiu, but his shot was too much elevated.

Ashfaq penetrated VB defense line and fired a powerful shot from close range, but Ziyazan came out and rescued the ball.

After 5 minutes of added time match ended in a goalless draw and it kept New Radiant SC just 2 points away from the title while 3 matches in their hand.
