B52 FA Cup: Maziya 1-0 Valencia: Maziya into semi final

Male’, MALDIVES – Maziya Sports and Recreation Club has secured a place in the semi final of the B52 FA Cup after beating Club Valencia by 1-0. Former Valencia player, Yavor Borisov, scored Maziya’s only goal in the 70th minute.

Maziya played very well and created some good chances even in the first ten minutes, Asadhulla attempts Mukhuthar's cross inside the box, keeper punched the ball again Borisov shoots from the edge of six yard box but it went straight to keeper's gloves.

In the 23rd minute, Valencia’s Zammath missed a good goal scoring opportunity. Keeper Imran tried to caught a high ball inside the six yard box but he fell and he lost the ball too, zammath was all alone inside the six yard box but he failed to score to an empty goal.

In the 35th minute, Assad made a good shot just out side the box but went wide.

Three minutes after the break, Ibrahim Shiyam made a good header inside the box from a superb cross from the right flank by Asadhulla but it went wide.

Valencia’s Shaheem Abdul Gadir missed another good chance to score, his shot inside the box went over the bar while Wahid was unmarked inside the box.

Maziya’s Yavor broke the deadlock in the 70th minute from a perfect shot placed to the top left corner of the goal from a descent pass from Ibrahim Shiyam.

All Youth Linkage will play against VB Addu FC in tonight’s quarter final match of B52 FA Cup.
