Eagles 2-1 BG Sports: Eagles progress

Male’, MALDIVES – Club Eagles striker Ibrahim Furugan’s last minute winner against BG Sports secured them a place in the semi final of the B52 FA Cup. Eagles won the match by 2-1.

BG Sports started the game with high pace and they created some good chances in the first 30 minutes of the game.

In the 3rd minute, Ristic header inside the six-yard box from Ashfan's corner kick went out across the goal.

Five minutes later, BG Sports’s Ousmane broke the deadlock from a wonderful shot inside the box.

In the 16th minute Rilwan penetrated the defense line and gave a good ball to Ristic but keeper saved it.

Eight minutes later, Ashad supplied a beautiful cross from the right flank, Ousmane slides into the penalty area while attempting for the ball, as soon as Fazeel controlled the ball Noomaan cleared the ball from the box.

Ten minutes later, Shaheem missed a golden opportunity to score when Kudas tackled shaheem inside the box while he dribbled into the box, but kudas lost the ball and shaheem shot from it but went wide.

Nine minutes before the normal time Ahmed Imaz scored a superb goal and leveled it. His shot inside the box ended inside the goal giving no chance for the keeper to save the ball.

In the last minute of the game Furugan’s shot inside the box hits the bottom corner of the net and secured them a place in the semi final of the B52 FA Cup.

Eagles will face New Radiant in the semi final.
