Afghanistan (RED) playing against Bhutan today, Afghanistan hit 3 goals with no reply

Kathmandu, NEPAL – In the first match of Group-B in SAFF Championship 2013, Afghanistan beats Bhutan 3 – 0 in the match played today. Haroon Fakhruddin, Mustafa and Hasmathulla scored the 3 goals for the favorites.

Three minutes in to the game Afghanistan created first attempt of the game, Sediq's powerful shot was tipped away by goalkeeper Leki, and it hits the woodwork before rebounding back to play.

Eight minutes remaining in the first half, Haroon Fakhruddin broke the deadlock with a timely cross from Mustafa. Fakhruddin’s shot hit the post and deflected in to the goal giving no chance to goalkeeper.

Seventy fourth minute of the game Bhutan got a golden chance to level the game as they were awarded with a penalty kick. But Bhutan wasted the chance and in return attack Mustafa doubled the lead for Afghanistan with a fine finish.

Afghanistan dominated the game and put heavy pressure on Bhutan. As a result two minutes remaining in the clock Hasmathulla scored the third goal for Afghanistan and sealed the win with 3 points to hand.

In the next game of Group-B Maldives will play against Sri Lanka at 17:45 (Maldives time) today.
