Kathmandu, NEPAL - Indian coach Wim Koevermans expressed his disappointment on the performance of India against Pakistan in yesterday’s Group A match of the SAFF championship.

“I am not happy with the performance. We were lucky to get that goal. Pressure was from their side”

He also praise his goal keeper Subrata Paul and Pakistan’s Mohamed Adil.

“Their jersey number 21 (Mohamed Adil) was very quick and from that side they created the opportunities. My goali subrata played well today. He was outstanding”

The Holland coach said that he brought some tactical changes for the second half and it worked well though Pakistan did a lot of attacks.

“We changed a few things in the second half and that worked very well. But I think we defended well even though Pakistan had many attacks”

He admitted that Pakistan was better than he expected.

“They had good players who could play and that’s what I didn’t like about our team. The more we kept the ball it became more difficult for them”

Concluding he said this is the first final and he is happy that he won the first final.

“We are holders of the cup and we have to defend it. We have to play five finals and this is the first one”

Indian Coach is very confident that he will reach all the way to the final. It can so happen he will play only 3 finals :)..
