India won 1 - 0 against Pakistan in the first match ..As points and goals are equal (i am not sure about goals thoo) ..so head to head India goes through..

Goal difference and goals scored by both India and Pakistan are equal, therefore, looking at the India vs Pakistan match, i.e. the head-to-head match, India won 1-0, thereby giving them a head-to-head advantage over Pakistan. The same concept is used in the Spanish La Liga and Euro 2012.

The big disadvantage for India was Sunil Chetri’s second booking, it means he would be suspended for the semi-final. Maldives captain Ali Asfaq is in similar dilemma. If he is booked in Afganistan vs. Maldives match he also would be suspended for the semi-final. Maldives coach will need to take big decision whether to play him or not. As things stand the better option would be to leave him out completely and give the chance to another striker. Having already secured a place in the semi-final it is important we some rest to top players.

Exactly... to leave Ashfaq out of the game will be the most sensible thing to do. But the coach has already said that he is going to field Ashfaq which is quite worrying. I hope that this decision doesn't backfire, otherwise we will be in serious trouble in semi.
