Kathmandu, NEPAL - All Nepal Football Federation (ANFA) on Friday had increased the ticket prices for the semifinal matches of the ongoing eighth SAFF championship.

ANFA chief executive officer told The Himalayan Times that ticket prices have been increased to Rs.1, 000 for closed and Rs.500 for open parapet.

“The ticket price has been set Rs.1, 000 for the closed and Rs. 500 for the open parapet," was quoted by The Himalayan Times saying by ANFA CEO Indra Man Tuladhar.

Previous ticket prices were Rs.700 and Rs.300 for open and close parapets respectively.

As a security measure to minimize the roll of tickets in the black market, ANFA had decided that each individual can buy not more than 10 tickets.

Also they are going to use a hologram in each ticket to avoid the sale of tickets in black market.

Including security guards, 13 individuals were reported arrested for selling tickets in double price.

ANFA would sell only 17,000 tickets —15,000 for open and 2,000 for closed parapet. The open parapet has a capacity of 18,000 and the closed can accommodate 2,800, according to Tuladhar.
