Valencia 2-1 VB Addu FC: Zamath rescues Valencia

Male’, MALDIVES – Valencia’s Zamath Mohamed Hameed’s 86th goal secured them three points against VB Addu FC in today’s Dhiraagu Dhivehi League match after beating them by 2-1.

Valencia started the match with high pace and created some good chances in the first few minutes. Valencia first attempt on target came in the 5th minute when Hamdhaan supplied a good ball to Wahid who was unmarked inside the area but his shot went straight to the keeper.

VB Addu FC’s Ismail Juhain Zahir penetrated the defense line and made a good shot in the 29th minute, but Valencia’s skipper Assad cleared it.

Valencia's Shaheem Abdul Gadir broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute from a superb volley from a descent ball from Muan Moosa Manik.

A minute before the break, Shamveel Qasim made a good shot against his former team but keeper Faisal saved it.

Five minute after the break, Wahid missed another good chance to increase the gap. Hamdhaan supplied a good ball into the box and keeper Tholal failed to clear it and went straight to Wahid but his shot went over the bar.

In the 63rd minute Shaheem penetrated the defense line and made a good shot but went wide.

Ten minutes later, VB Addu FC’s substitute player Viktor leveled the game from a superb shot inside the box. But three minutes later Zamath scored from a rebounded ball after the attempt made by Hamdhaan.
