BG Sports 0-2 AYL: AYL continues winning run

Male', MALDIVES – All Youth Linkage (AYL) has continued their winning run in the second round of the Dhiraagu Dhivehi League 2013 after beating BG Sports Club 2 – 0. Solah and Abu were in the scorecard in the vital win for AYL.

AYL started the match pressing forward and put BG defense line on pressure. Abu fired two long-range shot in the first ten minutes of the game but it went out inches away from target.

AYL went close on 7th minute of the game, when Githureez shoots the pass received from Abu, but it was not enough to beat keeper Ifrah.

Solah hand the lead for AYL in the 30th minute of the game. Abu delivered a lower cross from left side the penalty area and Solah pasted his shot in to the goal from spot mark.

After first forty-five minutes of the game AYL went changing room with one goal advantage.

Eleven minutes in to the second half, Githureez missed a good scoring chance for AYL, his free shot from edge of the penalty area was saved by Ifrah.

BG left disappointed as they saw Faruhad’s shot from inside the penalty area hit the goal post in the 76th minute of the game.

In the next minute Abu showed his class after beating BG’s defense line and doubled the lead for AYL. Abu beats two defender and past the lower shot from inside the penalty area in to the goal without giving any chance to keeper Ifrah.

Keeper Athif made a superb save on Oppo header in the 80th minute of the game. Athif dived and saved the ball from left bottom side of the goal.

In the next minute BG saw another miss chance as Oppo header hit the post and went out to a goal kick.

After 90 minutes of play match ended with 2 goals advantage to AYL.

This result continued the winless run of BG Sports Club in the second round of the league, as they have lost all their 4 matches so far in this round. And the 2 – 0 win puts AYL to the fourth place of the league.

In the next match of Dhiraagu Dhivehi League 2013, New Radiant SC will meet VB Addu FC, on next Friday at 16pm.
