Victory 4 - 2 AYL: Easy win for Victory
Male', MALDIVES – Victory SC has grabbed three points from All Youth Linkage (AYL) smashing them 4 – 2 in the match played tonight. With the win Victory SC moved up to the second place of the League table with 28 points and close the gap to 8 points between them and leading New Radiant SC.
Seven minute in to the game Victory SC took the lead with a strike from Ali Fasir (Sentey). Sentey beat goalkeeper Siyaad and sent his shot in to the empty net from left edge of the penalty area.
Muaz leveled the game for AYL in the 20th minute, Muaz picked up the loose ball from semicircle and ended his shot in to the empty goal when Shifan and goalkeeper Faisal missed the ball in a clash.
With a wonderful volley from Adhuham Victory regained the lead in the 35th minute. Adhuham fired right flank cross in to the far bottom corner of the goal from left edge of the penalty area.
Umair made the score line to 3 -1 with an easy finish from goal line. Adhuham dribbled past in to the penalty area and shoot the ball from close range, Umair clipped the rebounded ball in to the goal with no pressure on him.
Two minutes later Muaz saw his shot from Satosh’s cross, bounced back after hitting the post.
Five minutes remaining in the first half Aafiu scored the 4th goal for Victory SC after matching with Akram’s lower cross from near the goal line.
AYL went close in the final minute of the first half, Moudo’s powerful long range shot was denied by the post.
Ten minutes in to the second half Awilo well headed a shot on target but Siyaad dived and saved the ball.
Siyaad made another good save on Sentey’s close range shot in the 60th minute. Siyaad dived and punched away the ball to a corner kick from right bottom corner of the goal.
Umair missed a golden chance in the 88th minute of the game he was matched with a through pass and tried with a lower cross after entering in to the penalty area but Siyaad dived and saved the ball.
In the next minute Adhuham missed another open chance for Victory SC, his shot from in front of the goal went over the crossbar.
In the final minute of the game AYL made the score line to 2 – 4 after Santosh scored from the spot kick.
In the next game in Dhiraagu Dhivehi League 2012, Maziya will meet VB Addu FC tomorrow at 21:00 pm
