Blues increase the margin

Male’, MALDIVES – New Radiant Sports Club increased the margin to six points at the top of the table after a 3-1 win against Club Eagles tonight.

Ali Fasir opened the scoring in the fifth minute of the game from a wonderful shot inside the box.

In the 27th minute, Abu penetrated the defense line of New Radiant and made a good shot but it went wide.

Two minute later New Radiant keeper Alisher was forced to stop a good shot from Yasfaadh Habeeb.

In the last minute of the first half Hamzath Mohamed doubled the lead after beating two defenders of Eagles and shot it into the bottom corner of the net.

In the 48th minute Eagles missed another good goal scoring opportunity. Keeper Alisher blocked the shot from Abu and Shifan cleared the shot from Mubeen from the rebounded ball from the goal line.

In the 68th minute William scored from a wonderful volley inside the box and changed the score to 3-0.

In the 81st minute keeper Weerasinghe blocked a good shot from Ali Fasir, who shot it after beating two defenders of Eagles.

Seven minutes later Alisher was forced to save another good header from Easa.

In the 88th minute Easa beat three defenders from New Radiant and scored their first goal of the night.

Victory Sports Club will play against Mahibadhoo tomorrow at 15:50 hours and TC Sports Club will play against Maziya tomorrow night at 2100 hours.
