Valencia starts with a win

Male’, MALDIVES – Club Valencia started the second round of Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League with a 5-3 win against BG Sports today at National Football Stadium.

Valencia’s Awilo broke the deadlock in the 13th minute from a wonderful header inside the box from a superb cross from Yoosuf Rameez from the right flank.

Six minutes later Ahmed Rilwan doubled the lead for the Yellow boys from a good shot inside the box.

In the half hour mark BG Sports’ Daniel scored their first of the day from a rebounded ball when keeper blocked the shot from Fairooz.

Valencia increased the margin in the 60th minute from a stylish free kick from Wisham from just out side the box.

Seven minutes later Daniel scored his second of the day from a good header inside the box.

In the 70th minute David missed a golden opportunity to level the score. David’s shot inside the box went inches away from the post.

In the 84th minute Valencia’s substitute player Mirchev changed the score to 4-2 from a wonderful header inside the box.

In the 90th minute Daniel scored his hat trick from a rebounded ball when keeper blocked the shot from David.

Mirchev changed the score to 5-3 in the extra time from another descent header inside the box.

With this win Valencia moved to sixth position of the table with 9 points from eight games.

League leaders New Radiant will play against Eagles tonight at 2100 hours at National Football Stadium.
