Male', MALDIVES - Mahibadhoo sports club secured promotion to the first division for the first time in their history by beating second division champions Meccano by 10-0 in tonights match of Dhiraagu Dhivehi League qualification.

Mahibadhoo, the team which lost to Meccano in the second division final is secured their promotion to the first division with 7 points from 3 games.

Mahibadhoo's foregin forward prince scored four goals in tonights match. Mohamed Junaid grabbed a brace while Rodrigo Tahi, Adam Mauroof, Abdulla Midhath and Ali Rishan also got on the score sheet.

While Mahibadhoo confirmed their spot in first divison, Victory sports club and VB Addu FC will battle for the remaining spot in tommorow nights encounter. VB can ensure their survival with a draw. However Victory, one of the most successful clubs in Maldives football must win to avoid a disastrous drop to the second divison. VB is on four points while Victory has 3 points.

Meccano finished at the bottom of the group wiht 3 losses from 3 games.

See! Because of human beings like you, our beloved football goes down! Have you seen them meeting, with your own eyes I mean? It's the same what people did, when Vyansa went down! Who you blamed?! @socceristar! LoLz! Are you serious now? From where did you hear that? Let me tell you what really happened! He went to eat in an Restaurant and at the other table two men offered him a certain amount if he would leave some goals for Mahibadhoo match. Levent refused! They asked him, to sit on their table and even for that he refused. I was there and i saw it with my own eyes! So stop spreading rumors and play with fair weapons! Maruhabaa Mahibadhoo sports club!

Total match fixing here ..how would meccano lost 10-0 ......FAM should look into the matter .. It a show of shame to maldivian football ... Meccano is a better team ..how would dey have lost scanalousely ??? MATch FIXING ....too baD

Mecano had nothing to win and did not practice after the 2nd division final. Last year, United Victory lost to BG by 8 goals in the final when United Victory won the 2nd round match against BG in 2nd division. Match fixing huh?????
