Valencia 0-2 Eagles: Eagles start with a win

Eagles playing against Valencia today, Eagles won the match by 2-0 and they are now on the 5th position.

Male’, MALDIVES – Club Eagles has started the third and final round of Dhiraagu Dhivehi League with a 2-0 win against Valencia. Ibrahim Furugan and Adam Shaahir scored the two goals in the first half of the game.

Eagles started the match very well and in the third minute they created a good chance, but Valencia players cleared it.

Eagles broke the deadlock in the 7th minute from a superb header by Ibrahim Furugan. Yoosuf Rameez supplied a good ball into the box from the right flank and Furugan's header went straight to the far corner of the goal.

Four minutes later Ismail Shafeeu made another good shot but went wide.

Eagles’ Adam Shaahir doubled the lead in the 24th minute, when Furugan took a low cross from the left side of Valencia penalty area and Shahir made no mistake to beat the defender and shot to the bottom corner of the goal.

In the 60th minute Valencia’s skipper Assad’s free kick hits the cross bar.

The result took Eagles on level with BG Sports but had to settle with fifth position on goal difference.
