Seychelles beat Maldives

Reunion – Maldives women’s football team lost their second game by 4-1 to Seychelles today in the ongoing 9th Indian Ocean Island Games here in Reunion.

Nathasha took the lead for Seychelles in the first minute of the game after a good shot inside the box.

Shamila leveled the game for Maldives in the 27th minute from a good volley inside the six yard box.

Nathasha took the lead for Seychelles in the first minute just after the break and she increased the gap in the 70th minute.

Seychelles last goal came from Vesla in the last minute of the game to confirm a place in the semil final of the tournament.

With this defeat Maldives lost their two games in the group and finished the tournament with just one point.
