We will beat New Radiant says Suzain

Male’, MALDIVES – Maziya’s head coach Ali Suzain has said that New Radiant finished last year’s Dhiraagu Dhivehi League with a 100% winning streak because he was not on the bench with any team last season and things will be different this year.

“They won all the games last season but I was not on the bench of any team last season and things are now different. I am confident that I can beat them tomorrow" Suzain said ahead of top of the table clash between New Radiant and Maziya.

In an exclusive interview given to maldivesoccer.com Suzain said that he is fully prepared for the match against New Radiant and he has a good team capable of beating the champions.

“Maziya is a very strong team with experienced good players and they are desperately waiting for this match to beat them.”

Suzain also said that he has the confidence of beating New Radiant and he has done that even in the past.

“I have the confidence of beating them and I think there is no other Maldivian coach who has won as much as I did against New Radiant till now.”

Suzain also reiterated that there is no serious injury in the team.

“We don’t have any serious injury and there is no suspended player.”

New Radiant lies on the top of the table with 18 points from 6 games and Maziya is in second position with 16 points from 6 matches. If Maziya wins tomorrow night’s game against New Radiant they will finish the first round on top of the table with a single point margin. While if New Radiant wins the match they will have a 5 points lead.

New Radiant has never lost a league game since 2012.
