DLQ 2013: VB Addu FC 1-1 Mahibadhoo - Points shared

Male’, MALDIVES – VB Addu FC and Mahibadhoo Sports Club has shared points in the first match of the Dhivehi League Qualification after a 1-1 draw today. Shamveel Qasim took the lead for VB Addu FC but in the second half Mahibadhoo’s Prince Ativie leveled the game.

Mahibadhoo played without their foreign coach Ivan, who has helped them to be in the final of the second round, was sacked by them and he has signed an agreement with VB Addu FC.

VB Addu FC created their first chance in the fourth minute, when Awilo supplied a good ball into the box and Shamveel's shot hits the cross bar and Mahibadhoo players cleared the rebounded ball for a corner kick.

Six minutes later Shamveel Qasim broke the deadlock from a superb shot inside the box. Awilo penetrated the defense line and gave the ball to unmarked Shamveel and his shot went straight the bottom corner of the net.

Five minutes after the break Shamveel made a good shot just outside the box but went wide.

Mahibadhoo’s Prince Ativie leveled the game in the 50th minute, from a descent ball from Mecemon and Shuaib tried to clear it but he failed and Ativie scored.

Six minutes later, Necemon penetrated the defense line and made a good shot but went straight to the keeper.

In the second match of Dhivehi League Qaulification Victory Sports Club will play against Sports Club Mecano tomorrow. The match will kick off at 1600 hours.
