Shakeeb’s surgery was successful

Male’, MALDIVES – Maldives national football team’s physician Ahmed Shakeeb’s open heart surgery at Nawaloka Heart Centre was a successful one says director of national teams Ali Suzain.

Speaking to maldivesoccer.com Suzain, who is in Colombo at the moment said that it took more than two hours for the surgery and it was successful.

“It took more than two hours and it was successful. The surgery was done by Professor Richard Saldhana.”

Ahmed Shakeeb started to work as a physician of national football team in 1997 and also he has worked as a medical officer of the Maldives contingent in various games and tournaments.

Happy to hear the operation was successful. But very sad to know he had heart problem, to begin with. Yes, know one knows the future but who did not see this coming??? He was getting too fat and as a physician he will surely know this is going to be his destiny???!!! Then i wonder why he choose this!!???
