Maziya celebrating the FA Cup trophy last year.

Male’, MALDIVES – Football Association of Maldives (FAM)’s former general secretary Shah Ismail has said that his job is not to receive parcels and trophies addressed to FAM.

Speaking to madivesoccer.com today regarding the FA Cup trophy missing issue Shah said that he has no idea of missing trophy.

“My duty is not receiving the parcels and letters addressed to FAM. So I have no idea about it.”

He also said that he won enough trophies during his career.

“I have won so many trophies as a player so I don’t have to think about these things”

Meanwhile defending champions Maziya’s official said that they didn’t hand over the trophy to Shah Ismail but they have returned it to FAM.

“We have returned it to FAM but not to Shah Ismail. We don’t know the exact date and time and who has received it"

Shah said in the past FAM requests clubs to hand over the trophy just two or three days before the final and an official from FAM also confirmed that's the normal practice even now.
