Male’, MALDIVES – New Radiant Sports Club has confirmed a place in the final of B52 FA Cup tonight after beating Club Eagles by 3-0. Mohamed Umair, Mansa Sylla and Ali Fasir managed to put their names on the score sheet.

New Radiant’s performance was not as many spectators expected in the first fifteen minutes of the game. They started the match with some changes to their regular starting line up. Ahmed Niyaz and Mansa Sylla were not in the starting line up.

New Radiant created their first chance in the 16th minute, Ashfaq missed a great chance to break the deadlock. Umair took a nice cross from the right flank and went straight to Ashfaq but it went inches away from the post.

Ten minute later, Yusif’s header inside the box went over the bar from a descent cross from Fasir.

New Radiant’s tactician Velizar Popov introduced Ismail Easa after the break.

Ali Fasir made a stunning shot inside the box but Eagles veteran keeper Habeeb punched it away for a corner kick.

Two minutes later Habeeb made another good save to stop Ashfaq’s shot.

Mohamed Umair broke the deadlock in the 64th minute from a superb shot inside the box. Eagles defenders failed to clear it from the danger zone.

Two minutes before the normal time Mansa Sylla doubled the lead from a fantastic header inside the box.

New Radiant’s third goal came in the extra time of the match from Ali Fasir. He picked up a back pass and send the ball past keeper to score.

New Radiant will play against Maziya Sports and Recreation Club on 4th October.
