Happy to give players a chance – Popov

Male’, MALDIVES – New Radiant’s coach Velizar Popov has said that if have any opportunity to take a foreign player to his new Omani team, he will give chance to players from New Radiant.

Speaking at his last press conference as the coach of New Radiant last night, Popov said that he will look at the squad when he reach there and during the transfer market in December if he has any chance to have a foreign player, he will look into New Radiant.

“Yes sure I will give them a chance if I get an opportunity to have a foreign player. First I need to look into the squad there and if I have any chance to bring foreign players I prefer to work with these guys.”

When maldivesoccer.com asked about his preferred names that he would like to take he refused to mention the names.

“Of course not, if I need a central defender then why should I take a striker. If I have the opportunity I will take them for sure.”

Meanwhile, New Radiant’s chairman Ali Waheed has also said that they have received some offers from foreign clubs and they are working on those offers.

“We have some offers for our players and we are working on those proposals. And if it’s a good one for sure we will send them.” Balak said.

He also said that this is not the end of the story for New Radiant and they will be back soon.

“This is not the end of the story and we will work hard to be at the top and we will try everything possible to win the next two games of this season.”

“Maybe the next game (tomorrow night’s game against Maziya) will be a surprising match.”

Bulgarian tactician, Veliza Popov’s next destination is an Oman football club, which is in the top flight of Oman league. Coach refused to mention the name of the club when leaving Maldives.

Meanwhile New Radiant has decided to continue the remaining games of the season with assistant coaches Mohamed Iqbal and Thoddoo Nizam.
