Boikov wants to play a good passing game during his tenure at Valencia.

Male’, MALDIVES – Club Valencia’s coach Boikov Kamenov has said that he wants Valencia to play a passing game during his tenure. Speaking at a press conference held at Nasandhura Palace Hotel, the Bulgarian born Boikov said he has the confidence that he can achieve that goal.

“You know every coach is different and I just want them to play a good passing game. Not just kicking the ball. Not playing without the ball. Most important thing for me is to teach them how to move or how to pass the ball. If you have the ball you don’t have to run but once you lose the ball you have to run. So I will teach them to keep the ball with them as much as possible.”

He also thanked Valencia’s management for giving him the opportunity to work as a coach of Valencia.

“I feel very happy to get this opportunity and thanks for the management of Valencia.”

“This is a good chance for me to prove now as a good coach. You know previously I worked here as a player. Now my job is different and bit hard to work with all the players. Because as a player I have to think about myself but now as a coach I have to think about all the players. I will give my best to the team.”

“My first priority is to keep Valencia on top.”

Boikov also reiterated that he is happy with the current squad and it will be much better after the arrival of the two foreigners who are set to join within the next two weeks.

“Yes I am happy with the players I have at the moment. And with the new two foreign players the team will be very strong. If I don’t have the winning mentality to reach the top with Valencia then I will not be here.”

“I have joined Valencia to achieve that target. I know that during the last few years Valencia was not at the best and how was the situation in the club.”

Valencia’s vice chairman Bassam Adheel Jaleel said that they are in negotiations with two foreign players and they will join the team soon.

“Yes we are in negotiations with two players. Coach has requested us to find a good defender and a central forward. So we hope that within the next two weeks they will join the team.” Bassam said.

I am a bit pensive that you have been told that "..... the last few years Valencia was not at the best and how was the situation in the club.” .... Most probably you have been told blatant lies, if the chairman was involved in these talks.... you will probably realise this once you are into a couple of months into your job... and as for the two foreign players that Valencia is "negotiating" with, i wouldn't be surprised that if that doesn't materialize too. After all, these two players should have been here a weeks ago, based on the news provided by the Club. You would soon have a different picture, the real one instead of the glorified one painted by the "professional" chairman of the club. Having said this, we wish you every success in your coaching career.

“I have joined Valencia ...................... I know that during the last few years Valencia was not at the best and how was the situation in the club" Coach what have u been told about Valencia by the new management. Please elaborate as to what was wrong in the last few years as no body has said anything about why Valencia not being at the top or there about recently and since you have been told what was not right we as readers need more information and would like this information to be made available to the public and especially to all fans of Valencia.

I am surprised that you do not know why Valencia was in trouble??? There might be other minor issues but to me, they had a huge debt ( i think you may have heard that Jaabir took over Valencia), they were "fighting" with FIFA over the unpaid salary of their former foreign players. This made them financially very weak, and unable to be active in the transfer market.
