Shaafy appointed as Valencia’s new manager

Male’, MALDIVES – Volleyball coach and referee Ahmed Shaafy has been appointed as the new manager of Club Valencia. In a press conference held at Nasandhura Palace Hotel yesterday Valencia’s Vice Chairman Bassam Adheel Jaleel said that Shaafy is a supporter of Valencia and also he has managed Valencia’s Volley team before.

“From the very beginning Shaafy is a supporter of Valencia and he also managed Valencia’s Volley team in the past.”

He also said that it was the best choice for the team at the moment and the board members has agreed to appoint Shaafy as the manager.

“It was the best choice for the club and the board members have the confidence in him.”

Shaafy said that he is really happy to work with Valencia as the manager of the team.

“I am really happy to work with the club as the manager of the club.”

“Previously I have worked with the Volleyball players but now it’s different but for sure the main thing is to coordinate with the players and carry on with them. The team has already finalized and everything is set for the new season.” Shaafy added.

Shaafy’s appointment was made after the previous manager and sports director of Valencia, Mohamed Hanim resigned from the post last month to take over as General Secretary of FAM. Hanim was appointed as the manager of Valencia on 9th January of this year.
