Lopez is not my level: Popov

New Radiant coach Popov has said that BG Sports coach Lopez is not his standard.

Male', MALDIVES - New Radiant Sports Club coach Velizar Popov responded to harsh comments by BG Coach Fabio Lopez, saying that Lopez is not his standard and he has no right to comment on New Radiant Sports Club or the way they play. Popov’s response came right after the win against a very defensive BG by just a goal.

Speaking after the match, delighted Popov, said that Lopez is not his level. Without mentioning Lopez’s name, he said commenting on other teams is not a good thing to do.

“It is not my level to answer him. He is not my level either in person or in profession”.

“It is just ridiculous that just somebody can throw comments on New Radiant. I even don’t know who this guy is. I don’t care”.

Popov also said that a comment against New Radiant is a comment about Maldivian football. He said that Lopez has not right to comment on his team.

“A comment against New Radiant is a comment against Maldivian football”.

“Mohan, Suzain, Imma, Goffa or maybe Boikov who has done so many things to Maldivian football can only comment on this”.

Prior to the clash between New Radiant Sports Club and BG Sports Club, BG Coach Fabio Lopez drew harsh criticism against League leader New Radiant Sports Club saying that New Radiant doesn’t know how to play beautiful football.

“I think New Radiant don’t play a beautiful football”.

“I don’t like the football they play. The tactics and many other things”. Lopez said before the game.

Popov noted that the comments from Lopez made the game easier for his side. He said that his boys were motivated with the comments from Lopez.

“It was a very big favor for me. To be honest it motivated our players”.

Popov who has a 100% winning record in the local season so far said that he never doubted about winning the game. He said that it was the easiest match for him so far.

“Today's match was one of the easiest matches for me so far”.

“Because we played against a team who don’t want to play football. They couldn’t even make more than two passes”.

On the other hand, 40 years Old Italian Coach Fabio said that his side played the best game in the season despite the loss. He also said that the referee favored New Radiant.

“Of cause the referee favored New Radiant”.

“I am absolutely satisfied about what my players did on the pitch”.

The only goal of today's match was scored by Umair from a long-range free kick. Lopez believes the goal was a lucky goal

“I can say the goal was just a lucky goal”.

BG is lucky because they were trained to play agaisnt newradiant this was done by coach Shaz. Lopaz did nothing. Lopez is a stupid coach. A coach who gives 8 or 9 days rest in between 2 games. Lopez came to spend a gud holiday and he is doing that.

Lopez wasn't you lucky not to concede many goals ... NEWradiant created about 5 more clean chances in second half itself , but when Shazlyna was there they never got a single chance and created 3 .. Some brilliance from Imran got them 3 points .. How many shots on target my friend .. And you claim it's the best match .. You even don't know defense tactics ... Yeah referee favoured NEWradiant or else oppo and oittey would have got straight red cards ... Do t bother about other teams and make a name like popov did for NEWradiant he never told any bad words about any team .. Respect .. Is the best behavior in professionals ... May be your just an amature guy ...try to win against new than say something .. You will be in full dice next time in league and FA cup .. Wish you Gud luck on that .. Dont bring your personal grudges and spoil the euphoria ...

New Radiant = 27 Points | BG Sports = 12 Points. So which team is superior. It Doesn't Matter how you win, whether It is by scoring goal at the last second. A Win is a Win.

I just wonder why the Master tactician, Soccer Lopez could not make any improvement with his squad. With 11 stoppers even for Brazil it would be difficult to penetrate. If his style of beautiful football is to defend with 11 players is there anything more to say. I assume Lopez is just jealous of Popov because of his success.
