Unable to find some documents: Ilham

Male’, MALDIVES – Football Association of Maldives (FAM) newly elected President Ilham Ahmed said that they have'nt seen some of the important documents when they started to work at FAM.

Speaking at a press conference held at FAM House, Ilham said that he is a very close friend of former president Ali Azim and he is having a good relationship with him.

“Azim is a very close friend of mine and he is a colleague of mine at Majlis. Azim answers the phone and there is no problem with him but we are facing some difficulties as Shah is not here.”

“I will not say that they took some documents and maybe we are unable to find the files from where they kept. We are facing difficulties as we are unable to find those documents.”

Ilham also said the administration of the Association is very weak.

“Maybe it is the best way for the football but I am getting ready to change it and my team will work hard to do that. I do believe that within an overnight we can’t change everything but within the next 3 months we will change it.”

It's pathetic. Don't wash the laundry in public. Get going and even if you cannot 'find' any "documents" you should get going. Solve it, change it or whatever. We don't want excuses and we don't want to hear about whatever the last administration did. You were voted in to do a job, so please get on with it. Our football will not go to the "next level" by "complaining about lost / misplaced/ stolen" documents. If you think there is fraud then better get the police involve in it.

Next three months? Next, it'll be the next few years, I guess. We're waiting eagerly for you to fail, Ilham. I feel bad for whoever will be elected after this guy. There'll be more than one mess to clean up at the end of this.
