Maldives coach Istvan Urbanyi said that they want to make the supporters happy.

Male’, MALDIVES – Maldives National Team coach Istvan Urbanyi has said that they just want to make Maldivian supporters happy in the upcoming two friendly matches against Pakistan this week.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference held at FAM House, Istvan said that it’s good opportunity to make the supporters happy after a long time.

“Our last game was against Seychelles long time ago. The objective of this match is very simple and we just want to make our supporters happy and proud of the Maldivian national team.”

“This is a good opportunity for me to see the players, whether they adapt to the new style of play since, I can say last Challenge Cup qualification and Nehru Cup.”

Urbanyi reiterated that Pakistan is a very physical team and it will be a tough game for both the teams.

“Pakistan is a very physical team and I can say we have better skilled players as I said in the previous press conference. It’s very difficult to say who has better players but our team is much disciplined and they will try to do what they have been practicing.”

“So I hope it’s going to be a good challenge for our players.”

“We have very good individual players and we all know that our defense line is weaker than the striking force. So I will prepare the team based on that.”

Urbanyi also said that he will test almost all the players in the squad during these two matches against Pakistan.

“I will test the players as much as possible in these two matches against Pakistan.”

Meanwhile National team player Mohamed Umair has said that they got only four days to practice with the whole team.

“It’s being nearly a week since we start the practice but we got only four days to practice with all the players. And we all are ready to play against Pakistan.”

Hungarian born Urbanyi said that Ashfaq will play and he is ready to play against Pakistan.

“I don’t know much about his fitness but Ashfaq is sometimes a miracle and he can play 90 minutes without practicing for four or five years even. He will play and he has already played in the friendly match.”

“And we have to be ready to play without Dhagey sometimes even though he is one of the most important players in the team.”

Maldives will play against Pakistan tomorrow night at 2100 hrs at the National Stadium.

If asfag is not in the team the beauty of the game will come. He is not a team player and an individual player who had skills. Without asfag if maldives make something it is good for football.

Looks like someone is jealous. I highly doubt that you'd say the same about Imran, Umair, and other "individually talented" players.
